Well, I figure we should start out by giving everyone a brief introduction of ourselves. I'll go first,
My names Greg Tse, and I'm a DVM Student in class 42, I started out last October with CL38, went through the GE Program, the school stalled me into CL39 by making me (and a bunch of other DVM/DGD students) take Business of media after MSV, rather than starting out in our respective program. It all seems to have to do with the transition from the shorter program into the longer program.
I was in Drawing Bootcamp (and Design Basics) with CL39 but struggled immensely with bootcamp and decided that it would be best if I fell back and took it again. Well I passed it this time and am now part of CL42! Hopefully I won't have any more class changes.
My word of advice to any DVM/DGD students who haven't yet taken Bootcamp, especially those who don't already have drawing skills, would be to START NOW!! Draw everything, find out when the drawing labs are, and ask to sit in on them. For everyone, plan on not doing anything else the month that you're in bootcamp. There really is an intense amount of drawing going on 'outside of class' for that course.
A bit about me personally, I'm a 3 time Burning Man attendee, though I missed this years event entirely (I was right in the middle of Bootcamp for the first time!!) And, if you saw it, yes, that was my car that used to have a Black Rock Ranger logo on the side.
Like every other DVM student I would love to get a job at Pixar (wouldn't we all?) I'll probably have more to add later, but for now it's your turn!
